Ctg city BNP convener Shahadat Hossain freed on bail
BNP Chattogram city unit convener Shahadat Hossain who was imprisoned in three cases, was freed on bail on Wednesday.
Idrish Ali, former office secretary of the organisation, confirmed the information to the media.
Out of three cases, he was earlier granted bail in a case. Finally he was released from Chattogram jail once the official bail orders in another two cases reached the jail authorities, he said.

After freeing from jail, Shahadat Hossain went to his residence in the port city, added Idrish Ali.
On 29 March this year, he was arrested in connection with an extortion case filed by city BNP leader Lucy Khan.
Later, he was also shown arrested in another two cases filed over a clash between BNP activists and police in front of the BNP's party office in the port city on 29 March.
