A case has been filed against Sushanto Saha, 27, in connection with the blackmail of a woman using her indecent photos in Narayanganj.

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained Sushanto on Friday night from Araihazar area and confiscated his laptop and mobile phone. The woman filed the case against the suspect under the Pornography Control Act the same night.

Araihazar police station Officer-in-Charge Md Nazrul Islam confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.

According to the case statement, Sushanto had a love affair with the woman since 2017. During their affair, they traveled to various tourist spots. Sushanto took indecent photos of the victim during their travels.

He later blackmailed the woman into posing for more indecent photos and videos by threatening leak the existing images. The victim also claimed that Sushanto tried to force her into having a physical relationship, but she rejected him.

A local woman received some of the indecent photos of the victim and informed RAB 11 about the matter. A RAB team then detained Sushanto and handed him over to the police.
