A woman was found dead in her house at Jhautala area in Chattogram on Monday morning.

The deceased, Rosie Akter, 20, was an employee at the Port City University.

Pranab Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Khulshi Police Station, confirmed the matter and said, "The body was found with hands tied, a wire around the neck and injuries on the head."

"The body was recovered and sent to later Chattogram Medical College Hospital morgue," he added.

The Police could not find Rosie's husband, Rezaul Karim after the incident. Her husband is also an employee at the same university.
