Woman arrested after husband, daughter found dead with slit-throat
Police detained Hasina Begum as the prime suspect in connection of the double-murder
Police have recovered throat-slit bodies of a man and his daughter from a house in Chattogram city today.
The deceased are Abdu Taher, 35, and his daughter Fatema Akhter, 4, hailing from Bashurhat of Noakhali.
"On information, police rushed to the spot at around 9:30am and recovered the bodies from the house in Nimtala area," Kamrul Islam, assistant commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police told The Business Standard.
Police detained Hasina Begum, the wife of deceased Abu Taher, as the prime suspect in connection of the double-murder.
"Extramarital affair could be the reason behind the murder, however, we are investigating into the matter," Kamrul added.
