Rape case filed against Ducsu VP Nur, 5 others

A case has been filed against Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) Vice-President (VP) Nurul Haque Nur and five others on allegation of raping a fellow student. 

Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Deputy Commissioner of Lalbag Zone Biplop Bijoy Talukdar said, the case was filed with Lalbagh police station on Sunday night accusing VP Nur and few others for rape.

The five other accused are Bangladesh Chhatra Odhikar Parishad Convener Hassan Al Mamun, 28; Joint Conveners Nazmul Hassan Shohag, 28, and Md Saiful Islam, 28; Vice-President Md Nazmul Huda, 25, and a student of Dhaka University named Md Abdullah Hill Baki, 23. 

The Business Standard could not reach VP Nur after several attempts over phone.
