It might take one and half month to get the complete forensic report on Mosarat Jahan Munia's death, said sources at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
"The DNA and viscera samples were sent to the Criminal Investigation Department of police. It might take one and a half month to get the full report," Mohammad Maksud, head of the Forensic Medicine Department at the DMCH, told the reporters on Tuesday.
Maksud said they have shared the primary forensic report with the police, but declined to share the details of the report with the reporters.
He said they did not find any inconsistency with inquest report and primary post-mortem report.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Gulshan Division) Sudip Kumar Chakrabarty said they asked for the DNA and viscera report to determine whether Mosarat was poisoned or not, and their reports would take time.
Police said they, along with Mosarat's family, recovered her hanging body on 26 April from the flat where she had been living since 1 March this year.
Mosarat's sister Nusrat Jahan said they had broken the locked door of the flat as there was no response from Mosarat and recovered the body.
The girl was in a relationship with Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir for two years and the influential businessmen often visited her flat.
Sayem faces a travel ban imposed by a Dhaka court as he is the lone accused in the case filed by Nusrat for allegedly abetting Mosarat's suicide.
Police seized six dairies of Mosarat where she narrated her affection for Sayem and the grievances in their relationship.
A day after the body was recovered, Sabrina Sobhan, wife of Sayem, along with four members of their family and three domestic helps, left the country by a chartered flight to Dubai.
Asked about Sabrina's departure, Deputy Commissioner Sudip said it was a pre-scheduled flight.
Meanwhile, Mosarat's brother Ashiqur Rahman filed a murder case with a Dhaka court on Sunday against Nazmul Karim Chowdhury Sharun, son of Chattogram-12 constituency lawmaker and Awami League whip Shamsul Hoque Chowdhury.
Investigators said they are informed about the murder case, but not considering that in the investigation process.
Deputy Commissioner Sudip said they were prioritising the case filed by Nusrat where Sayem was made the sole accused. They were yet to get instructions from the court regarding the case filed by Mosarat's brother.
