PK Halder among 5 sued in fraud case in Chattogram
PK Halder bought 60,800 shares of Hotel Radisson Blu from Mohammad Abdul Alim Chowdhury but did not paid for it

A fraud case has been filed in a Chattogram court against five people, including former NRB Global Bank managing director Prashant Kumar Haldar alias PK Haldar.
Mohammad Abdul Alim, former managing director of Cleiston Foods and Accommodation, filed the case in the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Sarwar Jahan on April 4. The court has fixed June 26 as the next date for the case.
Rubel Paul, lawyer of the plaintiff, confirmed the information to The Business Standard today.
Rubel Pal said Mohammad Abdul Alim Chowdhury sold 60,800 shares of Hotel Radisson Blu in Cox's Bazar to PK Haldar.
PK Haldar was supposed to pay for the shares within six months after taking a bank loan as an agreement was reached between them. But he did not return the shares even though he did not pay the money as per the agreement.
The victim Mohammad Abdul Alim has taken resort to the court as he has not been able to contact PK Haldar for a long time.
Apart from PK Haldar, Mohammad Jahangir Alam (45) of Banani area of Dhaka, Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman (52) of Uttara area, Ujjal Kumar Nandi (41) of Tejgaon area and Ratan Kumar Biswas (54) have been accused in the case. The court directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to investigate the allegations.
