Saleh Mohammad Tanvir, the newly appointed commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) said that no one will get away with crime under the watch of the CMP.

"We will make sure that no one intervenes in police activities," he said.

"Police stations are the centre of the policing service. We will make sure that people get the service they seek after visiting the stations," he said during a 'Meet the Press' program in Chattogram's Dampara police lines on Thursday morning.

He also said that some activities of the CMP will be digitised so that people can get better services.

Mentioning that he previously worked as the additional police commissioner, Saleh Mohammad Tanvir said that the CMP will conduct better investigations. The force is planning to increase the number of trainings, strengthen supervision and monitoring, and increase the use of technology to do so.

CMP Additional Commissioner (Administration and Finance) Amena Begum, Additional Commissioner (Crime and Operations) SM Mostaq Ahmed Khan, Additional Commissioner (Traffic) Shyamal Kumar Nath, Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters) Amir Zafar and other senior officials were present at the Meet the Press program.
