Manpura woman gang raped in front of her kid
Case filed, none arrested yet
Five miscreants, including a former Chhatra League leader, allegedly gang raped a woman in front of her child in Bhola's Manpura on Saturday.
They also made a video and threatened the victim that they would upload it online, if she disclosed the incident to anyone.
The woman, however, filed a case with Manpura Police Station against the five persons on Saturday night.
The accused were Nazrul Islam, a former Chhatra League leader, Belal Patwary, 35, Md Rashed Palwan, 25, Shahin Khan, 22, and Kiran, 26.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the police station Sakhawat Hossen said the woman was travelling to her in-law's house on Saturday afternoon on a speedboat.
The accused forced the driver to drive to a remote char, and violated her in turns in front of her child.
"Being informed, Nazrul Islam, also owner of the speedboat, arrived at the scene," OC Sakhawat said adding, "Nazrul also violated the woman and made a video of the crime."
Then, they dumped the victim on the island and fled the scene.
Later, the local union parishad chairman informed police about the incident. Police rescued the mother and the kid around 7:30 in the evening and sent her to the Bhola Sadar Hospital.
OC Sakhawat said they seized the speedboat. They were also trying to nab the accused.
