The Cyber Crime Investigation Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police has said that they will take appropriate actions against the perverted culprits, who made vulgar remarks on social media on a photo of cricketer Shakib Al Hasan's daughter.

Earlier today, the Cyber Crime Investigation Division of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime released the statement from their verified Facebook page saying, such activities are punishable as crime, and the matter of identifying the culprits and bringing them under the law is under process.

Cyber-crime Investigation Division's Deputy Commissioner AFM AL Kibria told The Business Standard, "We are monitoring the internet against the cyber-bullying incident and have already identified the users who posted those comments."

Kibria further said they were yet to receive any formal complaint, but noticed those offensive remarks and they were monitoring and investigating to identify the offenders.

Recently, after Shakib Al Hasan posted a picture of his daughter on his Facebook page, some posted perverse comments, which went viral as people started protesting in rage.
