The Anti- Terrorism Unit (ATU) has arrested, while working on tip-off, an Ameer of banned militant group "Allah'r Dol" on July 2 night from Begunbari area of Keraniganj at the capital.

The arrestee was identified as Md Farukh Sheikh, 33, Ameer of South Dhaka invitation branch, says a press release from ATU. He is from Madaripur.

On primary investigation, he has confessed working as an active member of the banned group from 2016. He is also a fugitive of a case filed by the ATU at the South Keraniganj Police Station.

Hewas produced before court on July 2.

Two mobile phones, various papers of group including 40 oath papers have been seized from him.
