The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today filed a case against two officials, Anwar Hossain and Nazmul Islam Bhuiyan, for allegedly stealing 239 tonnes of fertiliser worth around Tk 34 lakh from a Bogura buffer warehouse.

ACC Deputy Director Abu Bakkar Siddique filed the case at the Bogura ACC office on Thursday.

Assistant Director Aminul Islam, one of the members of the three-member committee formed to investigate the graft confirmed the matter. He said, "Between July 2018 to June 2019, Bogura Buffer Warehouse Manager and in-charge Anwar Hossain and Nazmul Isram Bhuiyan, Technical Officer of the same warehouse, stole 239 tonnes of urea fertiliser worth around Tk 34 lakh.

The ACC investigated the matter for about a year and filed a case against the two officials.
