Noakhali' police arrested three men on Wednesday for gang-raping a 20-year-old woman in Noakhali's Hatiya upazila's Tamarddi Union.

The arrestees, Fazal Ali Helal, 25, Miraj, 28 and Nezam, 50, were arrested from Tamarddi area on early Wednesday.

According to the complaint, the victim woke up at 11:45pm and went out of the house to use washroom on the night of 27 February.

Before realising anything, Helal grabbed and took her near a pond close to victime's house.  Helal and Nezam, in turn, gang-raped her and fled with the help of Miraj, who was present there.

Hatia police station Officer-in-Charge, Abul Khair confirming the matter told that the housewife filed a case on Tuesday night alleging gang-rape.

Both the rapists and their associate have been arrested over the case and sent to court on Wednesday afternoon.
