Police arrested two Jubo Dal leaders on Friday in connection with cocktail explosions during Dhaka 18 constituency's by-polls on 12 November.

They are Masum, general secretary of Uttara West Thana Jubo Dal and another Jubo Dal leader Sohel.

Confirming the matter, Hafiz Akter, additional police commissioner and chief of detective of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) told reporters that police recovered 31 crude bombs and raw materials after raiding House 18 on Road 13 in Uttara Section 10.

Law enforcement raided the level 3 flat this afternoon, based on information provided by Masum and Sohel, Hafiz added.

Police later defused 13 bombs.
