The two accused in the Mirpur double murder case have given confessional statements in a Dhaka court.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sharafuzzaman Ansari recorded Ramzan's and Yusuf's statements after Inspector Sirajul Islam Khan of the Detective Branch of police produced them before the court Thursday evening.
The court then sent them to jail.
The Detective Branch of police arrested Ramzan and Yusuf on Thursday for their alleged involvement in the killing of two people at an apartment in the capital's Mirpur area.
"Police recovered gold, mobile phones and money from the arrestees," Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Masudur Rahman said.
On Tuesday, police went to the flat in Mirpur-2 and found the bodies of a woman aged around 60 and a housemaid aged about 10.
The motive behind the crime could not be known immediately, police said.
