Delwar Hossain Delu, the key accused of the molestation and torture on a housewife in Begumganj upazila of Noakhali, has been placed on a 7-day remand.

Delwar was produced before the Noakhali Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court on Sunday morning with 17-day remand plea by Sub-Inspector (SI) Habibur Rahman, the investigating officer in the rape case, and SI Mir Hossain, the investigating officer in three cases.

Delwar, the main accused in the rape case filed by the Begumganj victim, has been shown arrested in two other cases filed under the Women and Child Abuse Prevention and Pornography Act and sent to jail on October 13.

Noakhali woman filed rape case against Delwar, Kalam

On September 2, members Delwar and his cohorts entered into the woman's house, tied her husband up, physically abused her and recorded it on a mobile phone.

On October 4, they leaked the recorded video and it spread through social media. Later, the victim filed a case with Begumganj Police Station, naming Delwar Bahini member Badal as the main accused and nine other members.
