Testimony in graft case against Ishrak March 3

A Dhaka court today set March 3 for start examining witnesses in a graft case against BNP leader Ishrak Hossain, party's Dhaka South City Corporation mayoral candidate in recently-held election.

Today was fixed for start recording the testimonies in the case and Ishrak too was present before the court. But as Judge Sheikh Nazmul Alam of Dhaka Special Judge Court-4 was on leave today, the acting Judge Abu Syed Dilzar Hossain adjourned the hearing till March 3.

The court on January 15 framed charges against Ishrak on January 15 and set today for start recording the testimonies.

Investigation officer and Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) deputy director Jahangir Hossain on December 6, 2018, filed the charge sheet in the case.

Then ACC assistant director Shamsul Alam filed the case against Ishrak on August 29, 2010, for not submitting wealth statement in spite of getting notices from the anti-graft body.
