Shahrim Shahriar Ferdous, sister of slain retired major Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan has expressed her satisfaction over the investigation and the charge sheet submitted today in the murder case.

"Two masterminds of the murder -- Pradeep Kumar Das and Liaqat Ali, along with 13 other accused have been named in the charge sheet. Now, we can say we are satisfied," the tearful sister, who is also the plaintiff in the murder case, told The Business Standard today.

"However, we will only be fully satisfied once all the accused are executed via capital punishment,' she added.

She said the erstwhile Superintendent of Cox's Bazar police ABM Masud Hossain, despite being fully aware of the murder incident, wrongfully permitted lower-ranked policemen to stage a narcotics ruse, aiming to divert the case in another direction.

The investigation agency also recommended that departmental steps be taken against the SP for his negligence, she said expressing her satisfaction.

She also thanked the Retired Armed Forces Officers Welfare Association (RAOWA) and the public at large, who collectively demanded justice for the heinous crime.

''RAOWA also kept track of every single event of the case and also promised to get justice on our behalf. Now, we are waiting for our day in court,'' she broke down in tears while talking to The Business Standard.
