Sagar-Runi murder: Probe report delayed for 70th time

A Dhaka court today fixed February 10 for submission of the probe report in the murder case of journalist couple Sagar Sarowar and Meherun Runi. 

As of today, the probe report submission has been delayed for 70th time.  

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Debobroto Biswas set the date, confirmed General Registration Officer of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station Sub-Inspector Md Ashraf. 

On February 11, 2012, Sagar Sarwar, the then news editor of Maasranga Television and Meherun Runi, the then senior reporter of ATN Bangla were brutally murdered in their apartment in South Rajabazar in the capital. 

Eight people, including Runi's friend Tanvir Rahman are accused in the murder case.
