Sylhet Metropolitan Magistrate Saifur Rahman granted the remand when they were produced before the court with a plea of seven-day remand, said Amullo Bhushan Chowdhury, assistant commissioner (prosecution) of Sylhet Metropolitan Police.

Earlier, prime accused Saifur Rahman, Arjun Lashkar and Robiul Islam were placed on a five-day remand in the case.

Rony was arrested from a house in Shayestaganj of Habiganj while Rapid Action Battalion arrested Rajon and Ainul from Fenchuganj of Sylhet on Monday morning.

The next day, the victim's husband filed a case against nine people at the city's Shahparan police station, naming six people. All the six accused are - Bangladesh Chhatra League activists. They are Saifur Rahman, Mahbubur Rahman Rony, Tarek, Arjun Lankar, Rabiul Islam and Mahfuzur Rahman. The victim is currently admitted to the OCC centre of Osmani Hospital in Sylhet.
