High Court summons DGHS’s top officials   

The High Court today summoned Dr Abul Kalam Azad, director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) and Mohammad Aminul Hasan, director of the department concerned.  

They have been asked to appear before the court on January 8 next to explain why they failed to set up intensive care unit and critical coronary unit at district sadar hospitals across the country.

The bench of Justice JBM Hasan and Justice Md Khairul Alam issued the order following a writ petition filed by Dr Bashir Ahmed.  

Deputy Attorney General Deputy Attorney General Nur-Us Sadik represented the state.
