Ex-Jubo League leader Arman put on 5-day fresh remand
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billah passed the order
A Dhaka court today placed the former vice president of Dhaka South City Jubo League Enamul Haque Arman, a close aide of 'casino' Samrat, on a 5-day fresh remand in anti-narcotics case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billah passed the order after law enforcers produced Arman before the court with a 10-day remand prayer.
Nijam Uddin Fakir, general recording officer at the court, confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
Previously, a court on October 16 granted a 5-day remand for the expelled Jubo League leader Arman.
On October 6, Arman along with Dhaka South Jubo League president Samrat was arrested from Chauddagram upazila of Cumilla, over their alleged involvement in illegal casino operations.
