Dinajpur murder verdict: 2 given death penalty, 17 jailed

Two siblings have been sentenced to death and 17 others were given life imprisonment in a murder case in Birol upazila of Dinajpur.  

The two siblings are Jahangir Alam and Shariful Islam from Ratnour village in Birol upazila of Dinajpur.

Md Anowarul Hoque, additional sessions judge of Dinajpur 3, pronounced the verdict on Sunday.

Several people were injured and one critically injured during a clash over land between two groups in October 29, 2004. The critically injured was later taken to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital where he died on October 30.
