Court sets Jan 21 for taking Abrar murder case into cognizance
Judge also asked the accused persons to appear before it on the same day

A Dhaka court has fixed January 21 for hearing on taking the case of Buet student Abrar Fahad murder case into cognizance.
Dhaka Senior Special Judge KM Imrul Kayes also asked the accused persons to appear before it on the same day.
On January 5, a Dhaka Court ordered police to publish an advertisement in two national dailies asking four fugitive accused of Abrar murder to appear before the court by January 13.
On January 12, Morshed Amartya Islam, one of the fugitive accused in Abrar murder case, surrendered before a Dhaka Court. And the court later sent him to jail rejecting bail plea.
On October 7, last year, Abrar Fahad, a second-year student of electrical and electronics engineering department (EEE) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, was beaten to death by a group of BCL men at the university's Sher-e-Bangla Hall.
Later on November 22, Buet authorities expelled 26 students for their alleged involvement in much-talked Abrar Fahad murder.
