Appellate Division rejects bail plea of C&F agent Mizanur
Mizanur Rahman Chakladar Dipu will have to surrender before a lower court within two weeks

Appellate Division has rejected the bail petition of Mizanur Rahman Chaklader, an agent of Chattagram's Clearing and Forwarding Agents' Association (C&F), in a case filed on charge of tax evasion and smuggling.
The Appellate Division, led by Chief Justice Syed Mahmood Hossain passed the order on Sunday.
Attorney General Mahbubey Alam represented the state while Khurshid Alam Khan stood for the anti-corruption commission.
Mizanur Rahman Chakladar Dipu will have to surrender before a lower court within two weeks, said the lawyer stood for the state.
At the same time, the petition was sent to the full bench for hearing. The Chamber Judge court issued the order as per the appeal of the state and anti-corruption commission division.
On September 23, the High Court order granting bail to Mizanur Rahman Chakladar till October 20.
Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate filed this case with the Ramna Police Station on January 16, 2019, against Mizanur Rahman Chakladar on charge of tax evasion and smuggling.
Customs Intelligence arrested him the same day in the case.
On January 23, Customs Intelligence handed over the case to the Criminal Investigation Department.
A magistrate court of Dhaka on February 14, granted him bail in the case.
On June 25, Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate appealed against his bail plea. The court scrapped his bail and directed to surrender in the court.
Later, he surrendered in the Magistrate court on July 10 and High Court granted the bail on July 14.
