A Dhaka court granted bail to 10 people in a case filed for causing Biman Bangladesh Airlines a loss of Tk118 crore by not collecting cargo handling charges.

Metropolitan Senior Special Sessions Court judge KM Imrul Kayes issued the bail order after the accused persons surrendered before the court today.

In December last year, the Anti-Corruption Commission sued 16 officials of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on allegation of corruption that made the state exchequer incur a loss of Tk118 crore in cargo handling.

They were accused of being involved in corruption and abuse of power from 2012 to 2017.
