Court seeks probe report on Buriganga launch capsize on Aug 17
Dhaka Senior Judicial Magistrate Kamrunnahar on Tuesday passed the order after accepting the case.

A Dhaka court set August 17 to submit the probe report in a case filed over the launch capsize in the Buriganga river that left 33 people dead.

The court asked Shahidul Alam, Sub-Inspector (SI) of South Keraniganj Police Station, to place the report before it on that day.
Earlier in the day, SI Mohammad Shamsul Alam of Sadarghat River Police Station filed the case with Dakkhin Keraniganj Police Station against the seven people, including Moyur-2 owner Mofazzal Hamid Soad.
The other accused are Moyur-2's master Abul Bashar Molla, 65, master Zakir Hossain, 39, Engine driver Shipon Hawlader, 45, Nasir Mridha, and crew members Shakil Hossain and Hridoy.
Earlier on Monday, the launch, Morning Bird, had capsized in the Buriganga River in Shyambazar area after being hit by Moyur-2, a Dhaka-Chandpur route launch
