Expatriate Bangladeshis in Canada's Toronto formed human chain protesting against the persons who settled in Canada after laundering money from Bangladeshi banks and other financial institutions.
Ignoring the clement weather, the protesters continued protesting by holding posters, placards in Toronto's Danforth on Sunday.
The protesting expatriates urged the Canadian government to take legal action against the money launders.
Earlier, the expatriates started social movements with the demand of taking legal actions against the money launderers and demanding their boycott.
Although the protest was held on humanitarian grounds by citizens, Bangladesh Awami League's Ontario branch supported the protest.
Recently, a businessman shifted to Canada from Chattogram without paying loans of Tk800 crore taken from 12 Bangladeshi banks and financial organisations.
