Coronavirus scanner breaks down at Dhaka airport
The thermal scanner that was being used to check body temperature to detect coronavirus at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital, broke down on Monday night due to overflow of the passengers.
Airport Director AHM Towhid-ul-Ahsan said, "There were three scanners, but only two were functioning. The one in the general passengers' area broke down due to overflow of passengers on Monday midnight. The health department has been notified of the incident."
"There is only one scanner working now, which is at the VIP terminal. Handheld machine is being used to check body temperature at the other terminals," he added.
