"Ek Kodom" is the first in a series of exhibitions themed around Dhaka. The event is being organized by Platform, an art, entertainment and media production company.

The art show will be open for all from Monday, January 6 till Saturday, January 11, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm; featuring myriad sessions such as Artist Talks, Curator Talk and a musical evening.
The art show is an attempt to present the diversity of Dhaka city by arranging a celebratory environment, full of artworks from diverse media. This includes paintings, sculptures, and installations.
The artist group tried to portray the modern aspects of Dhaka through thoughtful material experimentations. Each artist has a sui generis style that synchronize with the expressions of the other two of the group. The art show ranges from the heart aching expressions of Azizee's paintings to the subtle drama of Rakib's drawings to the wit and charm of Anisuzzaman's sculptures.
A collaborative effort is made in the art show by creating a playful yet the thought-provoking environment; which has been designed through architectural experimentation and experience design.
"Ek Kodom" aims to support, promote and integrate young Bangladeshi artists with the discourse that the international contemporary art world knows and loves, and continue this journey for at least ten years to reach "Dosh Kodom".
Director-General of Bangla Academy - Habibullah Siraji, Bangladeshi-Spanish artist Monirul Islam, modern artist Wakilur Rahman, visual artists Bishwajit Goswami and Firoz Mahmud, Professor Abul Barq Alvi, and Professor Md. Anisuzzaman, were present at the art show.
Director-General of Shilpakala Academy Liaquat Ali Lucky, eminent cartoonist Ahsan Habib and other renowned artists will be present at the art show later.
This initiative by Platform is built on the belief that a single step taken sincerely by a group of artists can inspire another thousand steps to be taken by different communities and in the celebration of the enormous city of Dhaka.
