The China Central Television (CCTV), an important and influential media of the Chinese government, has published a special report on Mohammad Saiyedul Islam, a Bangladeshi student studying in China, who has played an important role in debunking rumors and panic during the coronavirus in China.

Saiyedul tried to present truthful and constructive information about China to the outside world during the coronavirus induced lockdown through nonpartisan journalism as well as active participation in various social and voluntary activities.

Saiyedul Islam, whose Chinese name is Wudi, is currently majoring in International Trade under the PhD programme at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China.

Following the publication of the special report on China Central Television, more than 100 influential central and provincial media outlets in China also covered the news.

According to the report, China is Saiyedul's second home following his long stay in the country. He came to China from Bangladesh in 2018 to pursue higher education.

Saiyadul got admitted in the Master's programme at the Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics on a scholarship from the Government of China for higher education, majoring in international business.

In July of this year, he completed his graduation with distinction.
