Chattogram WASA board gets new chairman
Jahangir Alam is presiding as the fourth chairman of the board
Dr Md Jahangir Alam today has been appointed as the new chairman of Chattogram Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA).
Jahangir Alam is presiding as the fourth chairman of the board, replacing WASA's previous chairman Dr S M Nazrul Islam.
Nur Jahan Shila, a public relation worker, informed of the appointment through a press release today.
Dr Md Jahangir Alam was born in the 1960s in Chandanaish upazila of Chattogram. He was the vice-chancellor of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) from 2012 to 2016.
The newly appointed chairman earned a post graduate degree on earthquake engineering degree and a PhD from the University of Madras in India on a Unesco scholarship.
