Police have filed a case filed against 5,000 unidentified people today over Sunday's clash in Bhola's Borhanuddin upazila.

Borhanuddin police station Sub-Inspector Abid Hossain filed the case on charge of attacking on police.

Police so far detained 15 people for their alleged involvement in the clash.

A 3-member probe committee, headed by Deputy Director of Local Government Mamudur Rahman, was formed to investigate the incident.

Four platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh and one platoon of Coast Guard have been deployed to avert any untoward situation there.

On Sunday, four people were killed and hundreds were injured in Borhanuddin upazila in clashes between police and local people demonstrating for punishment of a youth who, they claimed, had hurt their religious sentiment by a Facebook post.
