Bangladeshis on top positions of International student organisation in China
Bangladeshi students have been selected for the top nine positions at the International Student Association (ISA) of China Three Gorges University in Yichang City of Hubei Province.
The seventh ISA leader committee was announced by the university authorities on Thursday morning (local time). The committee will serve for the next one year.
Bangladeshi student Ziaur Haque Shuvo has been elected as the vice president of the committee. Raihan Shah, Amir Sohail, AR Rafi, Nazrul Islam have been appointed as ministers. Besides, Al Shahriar, Sajjad Hossain Masum, Jobayer Hossain, and Abdul Munnaf Munna have taken the post of vice ministers.
About 150 students from more than 50 countries applied for various posts responding to the university's notice to form the seventh ISA leader committee.
On 19 January, 20 students were finally selected from the students who applied for positions.
Bangladeshi students studying at the university are happy that a large number of Bangladeshis have made it in the new committee.
At present, more than 100 Bangladeshi students are studying at China Three Gorges University.
Earlier in the past, several Bangladeshis were elected to various important posts including the post of president of this organisation and were performing their duties efficiently during their tenures.
