Bangladeshi-origin Nayan elected councilor of Vienna City

A Bangladeshi-origin Austrian national has been elected one of the councilors of Vienna City, the capital of Austria.
Being nominated from the Austrian People's Party, Mahmudur Rahman Nayan won the election on Sunday (October 11), reported Jugantor.
Nayan, who is a software engineer by profession, was born in 1995 in Vienna. He is also the editor of the daily "Euro Samachar" published from Austria.
Just one year after birth, he came back to Bangladesh with his parents and lived here till fifth-grade. Upon returning to Vienna, he studied in German and excelled in it. During his high school years Nayan was declared a role model by the director of the school.
Later on, he obtained his under-graduate degree in software engineering from a reputed college in Vienna and continued his higher studies in Britain.
After Nayan returned to Vienna he joined local politics, apart from his professional service.
Speaking of young Bangladeshi immigrants, Nayan said, "It is important for Bangladeshi youths, who are growing up in foreign lands, to be involved in the local politics, as well as, various social and cultural activities in their community."
