The envoy conveyed condolences for the loss of lives and sympathies to the member of the families in the video message

Bangladesh will stand with China to fight coronavirus: Envoy

Bangladeshi Ambassador to China, Mahbub Uz Zaman has said that Bangladesh has confidence in the ability of the Chinese government to contain the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

In the video captured by China Daily, Mahbub further said, "Our thoughts and prayers are with the government of the People's Republic of China and the people as they are relentlessly struggling to contain the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. We have confidence in the ability of the government of China to contain it and prevent further outbreak."

The ambassador added, "Our honorable foreign minister, on behalf of our government, has sent the message to his counterpart in China and conveyed deep condolences for the loss of lives and sympathies to the member of the families.

"We firmly believe that the government of the People's Republic of China will be able to face the grave situation with utmost sincerity and capacity to control further aggravation of the situation."

"We stand by the government and the people of China at this hour," the ambassador concluded.
