Bangladesh will observe one-day national mourning on Tuesday in honour of Bahrain's Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, one of the world's longest-serving prime ministers and a true friend of Bangladesh, following his death.
The national flag at all state buildings will fly at half-mast on Tuesday, says a press release issued from the Cabinet Division on Monday.
Prayers will be organised in all religious institutions of Bangladesh for the peace of his soul, reads the press release.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her deep shock and sorrow at the death of Bahrain's Premier Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, saying Bangladesh has lost one of its great brothers at his sudden departure.
