Bangladesh Embassy in Beijing observes Armed Forces Day

Bangladesh Embassy in Beijing has observed the 49th Bangladesh Armed Forces Day in line with events organised at the national level on 21st November in a befitting manner.

His Excellency Ambassador Mahbub Uz Zaman graced the occasion as the chief guest.

The lead in organising the event was undertaken by Defence Attache Brigadier General SM Mahbub Ul Alam (OSP, SGP, NDC, and PSC). Bangladesh Embassy Beijing Team provided support and cooperation under the patronage of Ambassador Mahbub Uz Zaman.

The event commenced with the hoisting of the national flag with the playing of the National Anthem of Bangladesh.

A special prayer was then conducted for the salvation of the souls of those brave heroes who embraced martyrdom during the War of Liberation. Prayer was offered for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Bangladesh.

At the commencement of the program, one minute of silence was observed as a mark of respect to the seven 'Bir Shresthas' and for the thirty lakh martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the war of liberation. Messages of the president, prime minister, and the chiefs of three services were then readout.

Ambassador Zaman spoke on the occasion. In his speech, he paid rich tributes to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
