Bangladesh Army chief to visit Zambia
During his visit, the chief of army staff will inspect various military establishments and training institutes of the Zambian Army
General Aziz Ahmed, chief of Bangladesh Army staff, will visit Zambia at the invitation of his Zambian counterpart Lieutenant General William Sikazwe.
He will leave for Zambia on Friday being part of an entourage of six members of the Bangladesh Army, reads a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations Directorate.
During his visit, the chief of army staff will inspect various military establishments and training institutes of the Zambian Army.
Apart from those, he will also inspect parades at the Arakan Barracks in Lusaka and lay a wreath at the mausoleum there.
General Aziz will pay courtesy calls on the Zambian Minister of Defense, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Air Staff and Commandant of Zambia National Service (ZNS) and take part in discussions with them.
During the meets, he will discuss details on strengthening relations between the armed forces of the two countries and mutual cooperation among them.
He will also deliver a speech aiming at the student officers while visiting the Defense Service Command and Staff College in Zambia.
Bangladesh Army chief will return to the country on 6 May.
