Annex Worldwide fined for selling fake hand sanitiser in Chattogram

Chattogram district administration has fined a multi-level marketing (MLM) company named Annex Worldwide Limited Tk2 lakh for selling fake hand sanitiser.

Executive Magistrate Shirin Akhter conducted a mobile court at Annex Worldwide on the third floor of the VIP Tower in Kazir Dewri area of the port city and seized fake hand sanitiser and fake Hexisol worth around Tk2 lakh from there on Thursday.

"The company has been cheating people by selling these counterfeit products through MLM business. In the public interest, the district administration of Chattogram will continue such operations," said Shirin Akhter.

Hossain Mohammad Imran, assistant director of Bangladesh Drug Administration's Chattogram zone, was present during the operation.
