AIG Saeed Tariqul Hasan passes away at 45
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and IGP Benazir Ahmed have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death
AIG (Operations) of Police Headquarters Saeed Tariqul Hasan died of a heart attack on Thursday afternoon. He was 45 years old.
Saeed Tariqul Hasan felt severe chest pain while performing government duties in Bandarban. He was immediately airlifted to Chattogram Combined Military Hospital (CMH) where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
He joined Bangladesh Police as an assistant superintendent of police (ASP) in the 20th BCS (Police) Batch.
He served as AIG at the recruitment and career planning, UN affairs, community policing and operations wings in the Police Headquarters. He was awarded the BPM Medal in recognition of his professional achievements and skills. He has received IGP badge four times.
Hasan holds a bachelor's (honours) and a master's degree in pharmacy from Dhaka University.
His funeral will be held on Friday at 11.00am at Shaheed SI Shiru Mia Auditorium of Rajarbagh Police Lines.
Saeed Tariqul Hasan was born on 26 November 1975 in Mudipara village of Dinajpur district to Aminul Islam and Morsheda Khatun.
He is survived by his mother, wife Ajuba Sultana, two daughters Tasnia Anjum and Wadia Arwa, a brother, a sister and relatives and admirers.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Benazir Ahmed have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of AIG Saeed Tariqul Hasan.
In a condolence message, the IGP said Saeed Tariqul Hasan was a skilled, talented and promising police officer; adding thatin his death, Bangladesh Police lost a worthy and ideal officer.
The IGP sought salvation of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
