To change the country through the teachings of cleanliness, thousands of Cub Scout members have been working from morning till night, to clean up the entire camp where the "9th National Cub Camporee" has been hosted recently.

President Abdul Hameed inaugurated the program on 20 January, where 'Dettol Harpic Porichchonno Bangladesh" participated as the 'Individual and Social Hygiene' partner to create awareness on cleanliness within the new generation.

Around 9,000 cub scouts of Naval, Air, Railway and community-based units of all schools in every upazila participated in the camp.

The use of polythene has been completely banned throughout the camping session for the very first time, to ensure cleanliness.

The Cub Scouts are taking part in 12 Programs (Challenge) titled 'Shwapno'.

President of Bangladesh Scouts and Chief Cleaning Activist, Md Abul Kalam Azad, said, "The cubs are part of the young generation that will shape the country's future. If we can instill good hygiene habits within them at a young age, it will stick with them throughout their lives. When they return home, they will spread the message of cleanliness among their schoolmates, their families and cooperate to build a clean Bangladesh."

Dettol Harpic Porichchonno Bangladesh's, Chief Coordinator, Salauddin Ahmed Tarek, said, "We will have to bring change in the country through the young generation, and so it's essential that we make them aware of the importance of cleanliness."

Furthermore, a stall of Dettol Harpic Porichchonno Bangladesh has been placed at Sustainable Development Village (SDV) to raise awareness "Clean Bangladesh, Health and Hygiene". At this stall, the cubs will be educated on proper hand washing and toilet usage and other hygiene habits directly and indirectly. In order to attract their attention, other activities, including hygiene quiz competitions, will be conducted at the stall.
