3 killed, 22 injured in Sirajganj road crash

Three people were killed on the spot and 22 others were injured when a bus fell into a ditch in Sirajganj's Kamarkhanda Upazilla on Sunday.   

"The accident took place around 1:00pm after a Dhaka-bound bus lost its control while giving side to a motorcycle and fell into the ditch on the west side connecting road of the Bangabandhu bridge," Deputy Assistant Director of Sirajganj Fire Service and Civil Defense, Manzil Haque said.

A motorcycle passenger, Shapla Khatun died on the spot while the other two deceased are yet to identify, he added.

The motorcycle driver, Abdul Momen lost his one leg in the accident spot, he said. 

The injured including the motorcycle driver were rushed to the Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital.
