The bodies and injured bus passengers were taken to different hospitals of Manikganj District

3 killed, 20 injured in Manikganj road accident

Three people were killed in a bus accident in Rishipara area of Manikganj Singair upazila on Thursday afternoon.

20 other people also got injured in the accident as the bus lost its control and fell into a ditch on the Dhaka-Aricha highway.

The deceased are bus driver, Hridoy Haasan, 28, passenger Anwara Begum, 65 and a pedestrian Nikhil Sarkar, 25.

"A Dhaka-bound passenger bus lost its control at around 2pm and fell into a ditch on the roadside . Three people including the driver died on the spot," Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Officer-in-Charge of Singair Police Station, Abul Kalam said.

The bodies and injured bus passengers were taken to different hospitals of Manikganj District.
