3-day tourism fair begins in Chattogram
About 20 tourism agencies from home and abroad, including airlines, tour operators, hotels, resorts, amusement parks and related service providers are displaying their products and services at the fair orgnaised by the Bangladesh Monitor, a travel publication.
The 11th international tourism fair titled 'Chattogram Travel Mart-2019' began in the port city on Thursday.
Chattogram City Corporation Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin inaugurated the three-day fair as the chief guest at Peninsula Hotel's Dahlia hall.
About 20 tourism agencies from home and abroad, including airlines, tour operators, hotels, resorts, amusement parks and related service providers are displaying their products and services at the fair orgnaised by the Bangladesh Monitor, a travel publication.
The Mayor said, "Monitor arranged this fair with Chattogram's importance and potential in mind. There are many tourist attractions in the hilly districts. These places should be branded more to attract tourists. The airlines should promote tourism in Chattogram to attract foreign tourists."

ceremony. He said, "We have been trying to put more focus in Chattogram region tourism privately for the last 12 years. If the tourist attractions in Chattogram region get more highlighted, then we can attract more foreign tourists."
President of Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industries Mahbubul Alam, Country Manager of Air Arabia Sayed Mubin Rashid, Chief Commercial Officer of Regent Airways Hanif Zakaria and General Manager of US Bangla Airlines Shafiqul Islam were present, among others.
