3 companies fined for violating environmental clearance certificate terms
Abul Khair Still and Power Company Ltd were fined Tk5 lakh
The Department of Environment fined three organisations a total of Tk5.10 lakh for breaching conditions of their environment clearance certificates.
Abul Khair Still and Power Company Ltd were fined Tk5 lakh. Oxico Ltd and Sima Oxygen Ltd were fined Tk5,000 each.
Chattogram range Director of the Department of Forest Mohammad Moyazzem Hossain passed the order after a hearing at the department on Wednesday.
These companies were fined under Section 7 of the Bangladesh Environment Conservation Act 1995, a press release said.
