2 cousins die in road accident at Satkhira

Two cousins died in a road accident in front of Kumira Mohila Degree College on Satkhira-Khulna highway on Saturday night.

The deceased are Ashish Chandra Das, son of Madar Das from Shakdah village and his cousin, Mukundo Chandra Das, son of Shibopodo Das.

Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Patkelghata Police Station Kazi Wahid Morshed said, "A microbus carrying medicine hit the motorcycle of the youths in the afternoon, leaving them injured severely."

"One was taken to Satkhira Sadar Hospital while other one to Khulna Medical College Hospital.  Both of them died at the hospital at night," he added.

The micro-bus was seized. However, the driver fled the scene.
